I created this small resource because I noticed that some of the clients I worked with at thoughtbot and beyond, had a poor or non-existent design process. This issue was especially prevalent in very early stage companies or those with engineering-heavy teams.

The process won’t work for everyone but it is a good foundational flow to follow and adjust to your company’s needs.

Perhaps the most critical part of the flow, which often gets overlooked, is the “why”; why should we take this step? I found that to get people to buy into an idea they need to understand why it is important. So this explanation is crucial.
